Located in a serene residential area, the hostel offered the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience, with supermarkets within easy walking distance. The private room I rented was a true haven, boasting its own well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, along with the added convenience of a washing machine that allowed me to freshen up my trekking gear. The homely atmosphere of the hostel made me feel like I was back in my university days, sharing a bathroom that was surprisingly pleasant and reminiscent of shared apartment living.What truly set this hostel apart was the impeccable hospitality of the owner, Kalin, and his wife. Kalin's thoughtfulness knew no bounds, from providing laundry detergent and a printing service to offering fresh produce from his garden. The personal touches and genuine care for guests made me feel not like a visitor, but a cherished friend. The inner yard with a friendly dog added a delightful touch to the overall warm ambiance of the place. The location near the airport was convenient for my late-night arrival, and the ease of access to public transportation made exploring Cluj a breeze.Despite its proximity to the airport, the hostel exuded a peaceful ambiance that allowed me to unwind and recharge after a day of hiking in the Carpathian Mountains. The clean rooms, comfortable beds, and well-stocked kitchen further solidified my positive experience. The inclusion of a small supermarket nearby was a convenient addition, making it easy to grab essentials for breakfast. Sport Hostel Cluj truly exceeded all my expectations, offering a seamless blend of comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality that made my stay unforgettable. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone seeking a homely retreat in Cluj.
